Routinator has cache path traversal when processing the module component of rsync URIs
Routinator does not properly check the module component of rsync URIs, which are used to create the file system paths for the Routinator cache. This allows for path traversal by having a module name containing .., potentially providing an attacker access to the entire Routinator rsync cache.

For interim severity, fall back on KEV / EXPLOIT signals and the EPSS percentile (lower panel). Re-check this CVE after one cron tick — the score lands automatically when the source publishes.
Low exploitation likelihood — defer if no other signals fire.
No VEX statements published for CVE-2026-49233. Vendors publish VEX (Vulnerability Exploitability eXchange) to assert per-product whether a CVE is actually exploitable in their distribution.
